Este nuevo curso de Aulafacil tiene como objetivos:

  afianzar y completar un vocabulario mínimo.

  aclarar distintos conceptos gramaticales.

  facilitar la práctica del inglés de una forma interactiva.

La estructura de las lecciones es un pequeño texto, una sección de vocabulario y otra de gramática relacionadas ambas con el texto.Todo ello explicado de una forma clara y sencilla. Hay varias lecciones dedicadas a la pronunciación dado que es uno de los campos que presenta más dificultades.

El alumno puede ir haciendo las lecciones de manera rápida y siguiendo el orden que prefiera dependiendo de sus conocimientos.

CAN

El problema con los verbos modales como "can" es que no tienen todas las formas y tiempos verbales:

solo existe

Presente	I can  ski...
Pasado	I could ski

Un verbo normal tiene, entre otros, estos tiempos verbales:

present perfect	..I have danced..
past perfect	..I had danced

Can solo tiene, como hemos visto arriba: presente y pasado. ¿Qué podemos hacer entonces? USAR SINÓNIMOS. Por ejemplo para "saber" solemos usar "to be able to" "ser capaz") (también se puede usar "know how to" "saber como ")

Could se puede usar para indicar habilidad o capacidad en pasado (yo sabía tocar el piano) (podía caminar horas y horas sin cansarme) es decir algo habitual.

Pero cuando me refiero a una ocasión especial en la que pude o logré hacer algo no puedo usar "I could do it" (significaría yo podía o sabía hacerlo, algo habitual en el pasado) ¿Qué hago entonces? Usar "I was able to do it", por ejemplo "there was a lot of traffic but I was able ot arrive to the airport on time".

Como sinónimos de "I was able to" puedo usar también "I managed to" o " I succeeded in --ing".

Hasta aquí todo muy sencillo, bueno, pues vamos a complicarlo solo un poquito. En una ocasión especial no podemos usar "could" pero si "couldn't". Es decir que si no logramos algo podemos decir: "I tried but I couldn't do it" y naturalmente que podemos decir "I wasn't able to do it" o " I didn't manage to do it"

CAN Can  puede significa: se, tengo una habilidad o capacidad: I can ski.( Se esquiar) Can puede significar: puedo, tengo permiso: I can go to the party. ( Puedo ir a la fiesta, me dejan ir a la fiesta). Can puede usarse para otras funciones (posibilidad, petición, ofrecimiento; en negativa deducción o certeza, prohibición) (para más aclaración consulta el libro de texto).
